Product Summary


There has been a dramatic proliferation of fare and rule changes in the existing deregulated environment. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the primary U.S. fare filing agent, the Airline Tariff Publishing Company (ATPCO), discourage manual tariff filings by devoting insufficient manpower to the handling of manual tariff revisions. Input delays of up to two weeks have become commonplace.

The error rate of entries made by tariff agents is substantially higher, in our experience, as manually submitted carrier filings are subject to incorrect interpretation by tariff data entry clerks.

The Park Group is on-line electronically with ATPCO/ABC, and the electronic GFS (Government Filing Service) and are using these systems to make automated fare and rules filings for existing clientele.

OPTION A: Monitor and report on competitive pricing position in key markets

Management, in a swiftly changing marketplace, must keep abreast of competitive fare and rule changes. The Park Group's City Pair Fare Monitoring program tracks your competitor's pricing activities and summarizes your position in a concise and readable report so you can take appropriate action. The program will:

  • Monitor competitive city pair fare and rule status in the Air Tariff Publishing Company (ATPCO) electronic fares database
  • Report on competitive carrier activity in memo format as it occurs
  • Provide a competitive city pair fare report monthly, outlining your current situation vis a vis the other participants in your markets

OPTION B: Perform the actual tariff filing function acting on carrier instructions

  • Filing of tariff changes through ATPCO with the U.S. government. Research and preparation of filing justification, exhibits and the covering filing documentation advice. Effecting actual fare and rule record changes in the ATPCO electronic fares database
  • Make duplicate filings with other tariff agents as required
  • Dissemination of fare and rule information to relevant carrier departments
